How the treatment works
The HydraFacial is performed using a suction handpiece. The HydraFacial treatment starts with a deep cleanse and exfoliation to remove dead skin cells which includes Salicylic and Glycolic acid to break up any dirt and oil clogging pores. This is followed by a painless vacuum extraction of blackheads, whiteheads, dirt, oil, impurities and the final step offers rehydration where hyaluronic, peptides and antioxidants are infused back into the skin.

- +What areas can be treated with Hydrafacial?
All areas are treatable with the HydraFacial! Most commonly treated are the face, neck, and décolletage.
- +Do I need to stop using facial products before my HydraFacial?
Any form of Retin- A (Tretinoin) or Alpha-Hydroxy acids should be stopped three nights before your HydraFacial.
- +Will a HydraFacial even and/or improve my skin tone?
The HydraFacial works best as a series, to improve and maintain skin health. After just one treatment a smooth/even tone and texture can be seen.
- +How soon will I see results?
Results are evident after just one treatment of the Hydrafacial however the best results are seen with regular sessions to ensure healthy cell turnover and the removal of damaged cells and impurities.
At Ultimate Aesthetics we recommend 3 initial treatments at 2 to 4 weekly intervals for optimal results to refine, refresh and hydrate the skin. For those with more serious skin concerns such as acne and sun damage a course of 6 monthly treatments is recommended. Following the initial treatment course a Hydrafacial should be performed every 1 to 3 months or before any special event.
We also recommend other treatment modalities to enhance the results of the Hydrafacial including medical grade skin peels, BBL, LED Light Treatments, Dermaplaning and skin needling.

- +Is Hydrafacial painful?
There’s no pain associated with Hydrafacial. In-fact, it’s an incredible comfortable treatment. Best of all, it requires no down time!
- +What happens after my treatment?
There is minimal down time after the Hydrafacial treatment and many clients can go back to work and go about their normal day.
There may be some mild redness for 12 to 24 hours and some may have some mild flaking for a few days after the treatment. Those with acne prone skin can often experience a purging response and breakout after their first treatment, this is normally self limiting.
We recommend not wearing makeup afterwards so you can enjoy your clean and glowing skin.
- +Who can have this treatment?
HydraFacial can be safely performed on all skin types (fair to darker skins). Unfortunately some of the ingredients in the HydraFacial are not safe to have while pregnant or breastfeeding, however, we can customise a pregnancy safe version upon request, please let us know when making your booking.
HydraFacial is not suitable for those who have been on Roaccutane in the last 6 months, have cystic acne, open wounds, infections, severe rosacea, psoriasis or dermatitis in the area to be treated or those with a known shellfish or Aspirin allergy.
